Who is CECEONTHETRACK? My name is Cyrano Gemin, born and raised in Amsterdam the Netherlands. I am a real 90’s baby. As a little boy, I liked drumming on all kind of things and hearing the sound effect of this. My passion for music was inspired by the music my mother used to listen; real soul music like Otis Redding, Aretha Franklin, and Marvin Gaye. My curiosity of how kick and snare, bass and piano formed the music, grew more and more when I heard the music. I really wanted to know how they managed to make this music and if how I could make music, and especially the beats, myself. In 2006 my mother opened an ABN Amro account. As a welcome gift, we got a CD-ROM of Eljay music maker. This was the source and very beginning of my interest in making music. What interested me especially in Ejay music maker was the way one could put blocks of different loops together, and to make this a long loop, which eventually turns into a beat. With Ejay Musicmaker started to make some beats, they were not the best, but absolutely the beginning of my passion and drive to improve myself in making beats. . In the same year, I heard about a program fruity loops 6 (FL studio 6) . and Also I discovered the use of YouTube. I remember the first thing I looked up for at YouTube was the video of 50 cents: This is how we do’. I searched for FL studio videos and found the channel of warbeats. I watched his videos for weeks, day in day out. . It took me at least a year before I could make a good beat with FL studio 6. In this period I got my first keyboard too.I didn’t know much about notes and chords but I enjoyed playing with it so much!.. A CD-ROM of Ableton live lite 6 was added with the keyboard. instead of FL studio I started to make sample beats and line by line I made fire sample beats. In 2008 I felt the urge to pick up FL studio again, since that moment I didn’t use another program and improved my beat-making skills. In 2012 I started a joint venture with Mitchell Waynez (Mitchell Mamadeus). some of our works as a freelance production team are; New Dutch Masters, Fekky – Real Ones, Chivv ft Henkie T (SBMG) – Fok Jou, Mario Cash – Niks, Meydo – No Limit and much more we are still doing this to this day. http://www.ceceonthetrack.com
